The 2024 result
Teijsen BV passed the IFS Food audit again in 2024. The score was Higher Level, 99.15 %, and the certificate is valid until May 2025. The certified scope is unchanged: processing of natural casings, meaning soaking, salting and chilling, and packing of natural casings in bulk and wholesale packaging.
A score above 99 % leaves little room for interpretation. Of the several hundred requirements in the IFS Food standard, the auditor found almost all of them fully met. The remaining points were minor deviations with a documented corrective action, which is how the IFS system is designed to drive improvement from one audit to the next.
What the scope means for your purchasing file
Natural casings arrive in Zeewolde salted and selected, mostly from our own facility in Shaoshan, China. From that moment the IFS Food scope applies. Every lot is checked on arrival against its specification: calibre, length class, salt condition, origin documents. It is stored under temperature control, made up into salted bundles, soft tubes or easy fill, and packed in barrels, E2 crates or buckets. Each packing unit carries a lot reference that links it to the inbound lot and the plant of origin.
If your own system runs under IFS Food, BRCGS or FSSC 22000, the certificate serves as supplier-approval evidence. Your auditor sees a current certificate at Higher Level and the scope that matches the product you buy. Read more on the quality page.
Three years, one routine
2024 is the third consecutive year of IFS Food certification for Teijsen BV, after the first audit in 2022 and the renewal in 2023. The point of annual certification is not the certificate on the wall but the routine behind it: daily checks, calibrated equipment, trained staff and records that stand up to an unannounced traceability test. Download the certificate on the downloads page, or ask your sales contact to include it with your next sample request.
