In short

The Teijsen team in Zeewolde combines family ownership with professional management.

Jeffrey Zaal, with the company since 2016, is CEO and CFO. Simone Fiere-Teijsen, third generation, is General and Managing Director. The fourth generation sits in the day-to-day business: Nick Fiere as Sales Director, Ruben Teijsen on supply chain.

René Teijsen, CEO until May 2025, advises as Senior Advisor; Jeroen Teijsen handles purchase and Karel Teijsen advises. Sales is run by Nick Fiere, David Boers, Ansgar Tabeling and Jessica van Rij. Finance by Jeffrey Zaal, Emiel Tuinte and Wenli Li.

Danny Gordon heads logistics and Martin Bogaert heads production and quality assurance. More than 300 colleagues in the group, including the selection team in Shaoshan, work behind them. One team, two sites

The Zeewolde office is small by design: fourteen people who each own a part of the chain, from purchase to the loading bay. Behind them stand more than 300 colleagues in the group, most of them in the selection facility in Shaoshan. Your sales contact knows your calibre, your make-up and your last shipment; logistics knows your port and your paperwork; QA knows your lot.

Family and management side by side

Teijsen is family-owned and professionally run. Jeffrey Zaal has been CFO and board member since 2016 and took over as CEO from René Teijsen on 9 May 2025. Simone Fiere-Teijsen leads the company as Managing Director. The fourth generation, Nick Fiere and Ruben Teijsen, has run sales and supply chain for years and became co-shareholders in 2023. Who do I contact for a quotation or sample?

Who handles logistics and documentation?

Danny Gordon, Head of Logistics, and his team arrange containers, shipping documents and veterinary paperwork for your market. Reach them through info@teijsen.com.

Who is responsible for quality?

Martin Bogaert, Head of Production and QA, is responsible for inspection and packing in Zeewolde and for the IFS Food system. Selection in Shaoshan reports to the same standard.

Does Teijsen speak my language?

The team works in English and Dutch; German-speaking customers are served by Ansgar Tabeling. Chinese-language contact is available via the Shaoshan facility and our finance team.
