A natural moment after 46 years
René Teijsen has led the Teijsen Group for many years. On 9 May 2025, after exactly 46 years of service, he hands over the daily management. The timing is deliberate. The group is certified under IFS Food at Higher Level, operates its own selection facility in Shaoshan, China, and the fourth generation has been in management positions and among the shareholders since 2023. The next step was to make that structure visible at board level.
René Teijsen does not leave. He remains active as a shareholder, Senior Advisor and involved family member, which keeps 46 years of casing knowledge and customer relationships within reach of the board.
The new board
Jeffrey Zaal takes over as CEO and continues as CFO. He has been involved in the Teijsen Group as CFO and member of the board since 2016, the year Teijsen BV was re-founded and the current building in Zeewolde was built. He knows the group’s finances, its customers and its facility in China from the start.
Simone Fiere-Teijsen continues as board member and General Director. Nick Fiere and Ruben Teijsen, the fourth generation of the family, accede to the board of directors. Both have held management positions in the group for several years and became co-shareholders in 2023. You will find the full management, shareholder and sales team on the team page.
What changes for you
In daily contact, nothing. Your sales and purchase contacts remain the same, as do the specifications, the sample routine and the way containers are checked and loaded in Zeewolde. What the change secures is continuity: a family-owned supplier since 1928 with the next generation in place for the decades ahead. Read how the group arrived here on the history page.
